These photos were taken in 2008 at the home where my father grew up in Summit, New Jersey, and where I spent much time during my childhood visiting my many aunts and uncles. Summit is about 20 miles east of NYC. My grandfather started a house painting business when he came to this country from Ireland, which my father and uncles continued. My father passed away in 1984, and the last of my aunts and uncles, all of whom spent there entire lives in this home, passed away in 2008.
